How your blackout blind attaches to your window will depend on which blind you're using.

Portable blackout blind with suction cups

These temporary blackout blinds come with suction cups that attach the blind directly to the window glass. The suction cups create a strong hold that keeps the blind in place, while also being easy to remove without leaving any residue.

Our blinds come with hook and loop fasteners (aka "Velcro")that can be adjusted to fit any window size, ensuring a snug and secure fit.

We've also included additional hook and loop fasteners that can be attached to the window for extra support if needed.

Cut-to-size blackout blinds

With cut to size blackout blinds, you can either attached the sticky hook and loop fasters to the edge of the window or the window frame, which will help reduce gaps and completely blockout the light in the room.

Exercise caution when applying the double sided hook and loop fastener to wood or painted surfaces as the strong adhesive may cause damage to occur. We recommend testing surfaces prior to installation.

With both types of blind it's important to make sure the surface you're attaching the blind to is cleaned thoroughly.

Our portable blackout blinds with suction cups are available in one standard size, which measures 197cm x 130cm. However, we understand that not all windows are the same size, which is why we've designed our blinds with hook and loop fasteners that can be adjusted to fit any window size. The blinds are resizable to a minimum of 197cm x 40cm or 75cm x 130cm.

Our cut-to-size blackout blinds are 300cm x 145cm. They come with a tape measure so that you can measure your window and cut the blind to fit your window perfectly. When cutting your blind, we recommend adding an extra couple of centimetres either side of the window, as this make the blind sit flush on the frame and reduce any gaps.

Our portable blackout blinds can be cleaned with a soft, damp cloth or sponge. For tougher stains, we recommend using a mild detergent and warm water.

Yes, our portable blackout blinds are a versatile option that can be used in any room where you want to block out light.
